Clark family
offers thanks
The family of Geddes Clark would like to express our sincere thanks to many friends who helped make the days after our father’s death so much easier and even memorable.
A special thanks to the area police departments for their help with traffic as our funeral procession made a trip down memory lane; first passing by our father’s place of birth and childhood home on Second Street, then by what used to be the Gambles, the hardware he owned and operated for 24 years at 222 Main St., then proceeding by his residence since 1944, ending at his final resting place in the Davison.
We’d especially like to thank the pall bearers, who were all from the good ole Main Street gang.
David Pettengill, Anthony Thomas and Rob Decker all worked for our father at the hardware, while Tom Finck, Leon Fras and Fred Rapphun were downtown business men and great friends.
Thank you to Pastor Allen Sudmann for officiating; making it truly a time of celebrating dad’s life and his passing into eternal life with his Savior. Also, thanks to the Davison Missionary Church hospitality committee for the wonderful dinner. We appreciate Allen Funeral Home and their caring employees for all of their help as well. — With Grateful Hearts, Marcey Conn and Myrna Kimosh
Thanks to voters
Thank you Davison voters for your confidence in me, and recognition of my service to the Davison community. Kim Lindsay and I, along with the entire school board, have worked hard to provide the leadership needed for our district to excel, and excel it has.
We on the board pave the way, tear down as many obstacles as possible, then let our fine staffs do the heavy lifting. I believe this vote is an affirmation, not just of two board members, but of the entire district and how well the children of Davison are being served.
Davison School District has every element needed to provide excellent educational opportunities. Our challenge, as in the rest of Michigan, is to maintain excellence in the face of shrinking revenues and burgeoning costs. And we must meet that challenge with as little impact to students as possible. Kim Lindsay’s school finance expertise will certainly be an asset in solving these fiscal issues.
I look forward to the next four years. Education is my passion. Davison is my home. And every Davison child is my own. I’m just as excited as I was 20 years ago when I was first elected. — Karen Conover
