Vehicle crash under investigation

RICHFIELD TWP. — The Richfield Township Police along with the Davison /Richfield Reconstruction Team are investigating a vehicle crash with a delivery truck on M-15 and Clark Rd June 30.

Richfield Township Police Officer Melissa Galloway said Rico Odorico, 42, of Vassar was driving his Ford Taurus southbound at approximately 8:50 a.m. The driver of the Salvation Army box truck was traveling northbound.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and found the 42-year-old driver trapped inside his Ford Taurus.
The Davison-Richfield Area Fire Dept. was dispatched to the scene and the Jaws of Life was used to extract the driver.

It is unknown if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Odorico was conscious and talking to medical personnel before being transported to Hurley Medical Center.
