Hrinik named VP of MACP Board of Directors

DAVISON TWP. — Davison Township Police Chief Larry Hrinik was sworn in as second vice president of the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police Board of Directors June 23.

He was sworn in by Howell Mayor Geraldine Moen. Hrinik will serve as the second vice president until June 2009.

Hrinik began his career in law enforcement as a police officer in 1974 with the Buena Vista Township Police Dept.

In September 1993, he was appointed chief of police for Davison Township.

He is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and a graduate of the 212th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Academy.

His formal education includes a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in organizational leadership and administration.

Hrinik, who has served on the board since 2003, said he’s happy to have been selected.
“I’m very honored to be a member of the board, and I hope to do my very best,” he said.
