GENESEE COUNTY — With the filing deadline of 4 p.m. May 13 already gone, several candidates have filed to run in the upcoming August primary.
Davison Township
For supervisor, incumbent Kurt Soper, Democrat, will run against Lanny Valentine, Republican.
Incumbent Karen Miller is running unopposed for clerk. Incumbent Patrick Miller also is running unopposed for treasurer.
Incumbents Timothy Elkins, Democrat, and Matthew Karr, Republican, will face off against challenger Kevin Hammer, Republican, in the race for two seats on the Board of Trustees.
Richfield Township
For township supervisor, the candidates are Joseph Madore, Democrat, Matt Yard, Democrat, and Bill Zacharias, Republican.
The candidates for clerk are Regna Smith, Democrat, Teri Webber, Democrat, and Donna Sanchez-Modrak.
Incumbent Joyce Schneider, Democrat, will face off against Ann Buck, Democrat, and Scott Binkley, Republican, for treasurer.
Incumbent Board of Trustee members Dennis Montague, Democrat, and Gerald Masters, Democrat, will run against challengers Pegge Adams, Democrat, and Robert E. Delay Jr., Democrat.
