Wojo’s to donate
to DHS soccer program
DAVISON TWP. — Wojo’s Garden Splendor, 7360 E. Court St., will donate 10 percent of all purchases of landscaping projects, fertilizers, pots, shrubs, trees, seeds and other garden needs to the Davison High School Soccer Program just by mentioning “DHS soccer program,” May 19, and June 1.

Cancer benefit sale
GOODRICH — Becky’s Memories will host a sale 10 a.m.-6 p.m. May 23-31. Outdoor things will be for sale, with a quarter of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. Products include birdbaths, angels, turtles, frogs, garden rocks, crosses, and garden fairies.

CBMC meets each Wednesday
GRAND BLANC TWP. — The Christian Businessmen’s Committee (CBMC) meets 6:30-7:30 a.m. each Wednesday at Grand Blanc Motor Cars, Ltd., 9099 N. Holly Rd.
The committee is open to businessmen in Genesee County. Each meeting features a guest speaker. There is no cost to join.

Security Federal names Yax
FLINT — Jay Yax was named vice president human resources and branch operations by Security Federal Credit Union.
Yax has over 22 years of experience at Security Federal, including previous positions as head loan officer, branch manager, and vice president of branch operations.
Yax’s accomplishments also include an MBA in human resources from Baker College and 20 years in the Michigan Air National Guard, where he retired as a master sergeant.
