Geraldine Grace Mathews, 84, of Flushing (formerly of Davison) passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
Geraldine was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on May 30, 1923, daughter of the late Marvin and Pauline (Coyle) Wilson. Geraldine Wilson married Kenneth O. Mathews on December 7, 1946 in Flint. Kenneth preceded her in death on December 12, 1993 after 47 years of marriage. Geraldine was a longtime member of Davison United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Coachman Firewatchers R. V. Club #41. Geraldine retired from Mott Children’s Health Center with 24 years of service.
Geraldine is survived by her sons, David (Patricia) Mathews of Davison, Ted Mathews of Clinton Twp. and Terry (Kathy) Mathews of Flushing; grandchildren, Amanda, Amy and Christopher.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison. Rev. P. Thomas Wachterhauser officiated. Burial was in Meadowview Memorial Gardens.
