Alice Isabella Miller, 93, of Davison, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center.

Alice was born in Big Rapids, MI on August 14, 1914, daughter of the late Arthur and Winifred (Merrill) Peppler. She resided in the Davison area since 1939. Alice Peppler married Sherman Miller on July 8, 1934, and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1982. She was a member of Rebekah Ardell Lodge #214 and past Noble Grand. She attended the Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed playing euchre.

Alice is survived by sons, Ron (Dee) Miller and Loren Miller; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Marian Callas; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Peppler and Margie Fowler; several nieces and nephews, and cat, Sassy.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the kind and caring staff of Genesys Hospice Care Center.

Cremation has taken place. Per Alice’s wishes, there will be no services.

John Sven Wise, 65, of Davison, loved husband and father, joined his Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Brian’s House Hospice.

John was born in Flint on October 31, 1942, son of Arthur and the late Cora (Might) Wise. He married Karon Louise Shimmons on November 9, 1964.

John is survived by his wife, Karon; children, Jennifer Wise, Karrie (Michael) Diedreich, Dora (Robert) Gill; father, Arthur Wise; grandchildren, Christina, Mary, Kathriyn, Gabreil and Caleb; great-granddaughter, Erin; siblings, Paul, Bob, Dorothy (Gerald) Weis, Carl (Patty), Richard (Roxanne) and Ed (Mary).

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald; sister, Connie Stone; and sister-in-law, Margaret Wise.

Memorial contributions may be made to John’s family.

A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, was held on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison. Pastor Ron Sharpe will officiated.

William Nelson Lamb, 73, of Davison, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008 at his residence. William was born in Flint on July 1, 1934, son of the late George and Julia (Morea) Lamb. He enjoyed playing basketball during his high school years. William married Laurie (Bird) Lamb in Davison on January 15, 1977. He was a constituent member of the Davison United Methodist Church. William was a Postal Carrier in the Davison area for 38 years. He also worked for Buick for 8 years. William was a farmer for 56 years.

William is survived by his wife, Laurie; children, Tina (John) Csercsa, Genevieve (William) Howard, Julie (fiancé, Michael Williams) Johnson and William Oliver Lamb; grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer), Jeremy, Callie, Melanie and Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Maurice and Anthony; sister, Eleanor (Larry) Wheeler; nieces, Carol and Sueanne and nephew, Doug.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 1, 2008 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 E. Davison Rd., Davison, Rev. P. Thomas Wachterhauser officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
