DAVISON — The Davison-Richfield Senior Center, 10135 Lapeer Rd., hosts The Mind, Body & Spirit Connection to Good Health 6 p.m. July 9.

Diabetes support group
FLINT — The McLaren Diabetes Support Group meets the second Wednesday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 9. The support group discusses a variety of topics throughout the year and is free of charge. No registration is required.

FLINT — The Hurley Bariatric Center is offering a free informational seminar regarding bariatric surgery 6-8 p.m. July 15.
The surgery is a new option in surgical weight loss, particularly for those battling clinical obesity.

Hurley community cooking institute
GRAND BLANC TWP. — A Hurley Community Cooking Institute runs 6-8 p.m. July 10 at the Grand Blanc Senior Center.
Dr. Maneesh Lall of Grand Blanc and personal chef Jodi Wollitz will lead the seminar. Participants will prepare, cook and eat a meal using American Heart Association recipes.
