hair for good cause
DAVISON — Josie Beckelic, 5, donated her hair to the “Million Inches of Hair Campaign. March 6. “I thought it would be nice to help someone that doesn’t have any hair,” Beckelic said. She had her hair cut at the Hair Company. — M.D.

Successfully living
and preventing diabetes
A Successfully Living and Preventing Diabetes class is scheduled at the Davison-Richfield Senior Center 10135 Lapeer Rd. at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 15. Learn about how diabetes affects your body. Pharmacist, Brian Arnes will offer free blood glucose testing. This class is for diabetics, caregivers, and anyone wanting to learn about preventing diabetes. Kiwanis Days at Wojos

Buddy Poppies aid vets
DAVISON TWP. — The Davison VFW and Auxiliaries will sell Buddy Poppies for veterans’ relief funds May 8-10.

Buddy Poppies raise relief funds, which help other veterans and veterans’ families with basic needs for bills, medication, food and shelter.

Davison VFW Members will be at VG’s and Kroger strores in Davison all three days and w They also will sell Poppies at WoJo’s on Court Street Thursday.

The post is also looking for a Boy Scout or Girls Scout troop to provide some community service work. For details, call Carolan at 810-653-1302.
