VNSM offers monthly
grief support sessions
DAVISON — Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan (VNSM) hospice program provides on-going grief support groups called New Tomorrows.
The groups meet from 5-7 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, with the exception of May. In May, the group meets the second Monday and fourth Tuesday.
Anyone in Genesee County who has experienced the death of a loved one can join New Tomorrows. For details, call Goodman Cox, bereavement coordinator, at 810-496-8754. — N.B.

DAVISON — The American Red Cross has scheduled a blood drive from 1-6:45 p.m. May 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 706 W. Flint.

Free speech, hearing
screenings for children
GRAND BLANC — Children’s Therapy Solutions, 8200 Embury Rd., offers free speech and hearing screenings for children of all ages 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 17.
According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, May is the month to raise awareness about communication disorders and to promote treatment that can improve the quality of life for those who experience problems with speaking, understanding or hearing. The earlier a child’s speech and language problems are identified and treated, the less likely it is that problems will persist or get worse.

Women’s Summit
FLINT — Women can celebrate wellness and get health information during the Women’s Summit from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 3 at the Sarvis Conference Center, 1231 E. Kearsley St.
