DAVISON — The Art Café, 217 Shoppers Alley, is asking for support from the Davison community to assist the recent Midwest flooding victims.
The Art Cafe is collecting donations and selling promotional art items from 2-4 p.m. July 4 to benefit the Red Cross emergency fund. All funds are designated to be spent on the Midwest flooding emergency.
“Our goal with this event is to promote awareness of art and help others in need during this Midwest flooding emergency,” said Art Café’s Executive Director Cora Smilkovich.
The Red Cross has explained that the disaster relief fund has been completely spent, and the agency is being forced to borrow money to help flood victims throughout the Midwest, she said.
“Our group believes this is an urgent time to participate in this outreach effort,” Smilkovich said. “We hope you will make this a success and get involved,” she said.
