Angel Food Ministries taking orders

DAVISON — The First Baptist Church of Davison Angel Food Ministries program is now underway.

Angel Food Ministries is a nation-wide, non-profit program that focuses on providing affordable food to communities. Individuals can purchase a box of food for $30 from any Angel Food Ministries distribution sites. The actual total retail value of the food is generally about $60.

While the menu changes each month, the menu for May has a variety of items, including popcorn chicken, Stouffer’s flat bread pizza, beef and bean burritos and bacon wrapped beef fillets. Suppliers for the program include Birdseye, Jiffy Mix, Tyson and General Mills.

In addition to the $30 box, individuals may purchase extra monthly specials for $20 a box that contain assortments of meat.

The sign-up dates for the May order at the First Baptist Church of Davison are May 15-17 with pick up at the church’s east entrance May 31 from 10 a.m.-noon.

Angel Food Ministries requires no application, no income limits, and no memberships. There is also no limit to the number of boxes one may order.
