Melissa Leigh St. Pierre of Davison and John Joseph Kaplan of Grand Blanc were united in marriage Oct. 27, 2007 at the Bavarian Inn Lodge, Frankenmuth, with Rev. Tom Wachterhauser officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Teresa St. Pierre of Davison. She is a 2000 graduate of Davison High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint. She is employed as a registered critical care nurse at Hurley Medical Center.

The groom is the son of John and Betz Kaplan of Battle Creek. He is a 1990 graduate of Powers High School and a 1999 graduate of Baker College. He is employed as a network analyst at Paetec.

Serving as maid of honor was Amanda Courneya, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lena Seiver, sister of the groom; Danielle Thompson, future sister-in-law of the bride; and Angie Huntley, sister of the groom. Alyssa Magyar, cousin of the bride; and Stella Huntley, niece of the groom, served as flower girls.

Serving as best man was Steve Tabit, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Dave Seiver, brother-in-law of the groom; Daniel St. Pierre, brother of the bride; and Jim Moss, friend of the groom. Ryder Huntley, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.

Following the ceremony, family and friends enjoyed a reception at Bavarian Inn Lodge, Frankenmuth. After a honeymoon in Rome, Italy, the couple resides in Grand Blanc.
